Listowel District Secondary School - Home of the Lightning!

Listowel District Secondary School is a public high school in Listowel, Ontario, Canada. The town of Listowel is located at the intersection of two major highways – Hwy 86 and Hwy 23, and is currently home to over 7000 residents. Construction of Listowel District Secondary School began in June 1879, with the school opening to students in the spring of 1880. LDSS is operated by the Avon Maitland District School Board and currently has over 850 students in grades 9-12.

LDSS offers an inclusive learning environment and school community that encourages students to explore their options and discover new challenges through high academic expectations and co-curricular opportunities. Our goal is to engage and inspire our learners, so as to unlock their potential and their ability to be innovative, life-long learners.
