About
FE Madill - Home of the Mustangs!
The FE Madill Mustangs call the welcoming town of Wingham home. Our fully accessible school is set on a large, beautiful section of land which enables our students and the wider community to participate in a variety of activities throughout our large outdoor space.
FE Madill Secondary School staff are committed to providing meaningful education and quality experiences to our students. Students learn in an inclusive environment which supports their growth in both academics and personal character. Our goal for every student includes having the academic and personal skills to be successful in our ever-changing world.
At FE Madill we value the mental health and well-being of our students. We believe that when students are mentally well, they are better able to learn and connect with others leading to a more positive experience at school. In order to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and assist students with maintaining it, staff created a mindfulness room where students can practice meditation or mindfulness, or participate in calming activities at the various stations. We are also participating in the Umbrella Project. It is designed to explicitly teach the skills of wellbeing. We know that our students will face challenges, obstacles and difficulties throughout their lives. We want to prepare them for the rain by building their umbrella of wellbeing larger and stronger.
Details:
FE Madill also offers a variety of academic options for all students, regardless of their pathway. We enable students to explore their areas of interest and help shape their future educational goals by allowing them to focus on a career path that matches their skills and interests.
The best part of Madill is the sense of community and togetherness. Our goals are to have staff and students "Be Well, Do Well, and Connect Well". We want everyone to feel valued and appreciated. Staff provide support and guidance when needed, but also allow student independence and individuality so they have a voice in planning their learning and ultimately their pathway. Madill truly has something for everyone.
